Buenos Dias Puerto Vallarta!

We set the bar high with our first annual BFF girl’s trip to CasaMagna Marriott Resort Hotel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - it is “Ah-amazing!” The resort is beautiful - secure and immaculately maintained, the staff is attentive and so friendly, the food and drink options exceed expectations, and every day we loved our pool time. The main pool is uniformly shallow, has a swim-up bar and naturally becomes the happy hour gathering place each afternoon. We spent hours sitting on the infinity wall while sipping something cold 😎. There is also a designated children’s club nearby with separate pool, water slides and plenty of sand brought in for a man made beach. We dined at all onsite restaurants and Mikado stands out as my favorite, but, the coffee shop, beachside dining and ceviche bar (guacamole YUM!) are amazing as well. There is a long lookout point just on the hotel boundary - the perfect spot for sunrise yoga - and a beautiful long stretch of beach that I walked every morning to get 10k steps. My last morning a local family invited me to help with cast net fishing. Their limited English and my limited Spanish provided lots of laughter and pantomime and a memory that will last forever.

The Marriott was gracious and upgraded us to a suite. This is our wrap around balcony view…Not too shabby :-)

We went many years ago. The thing that was most surprising to me was the beach "sand" - volcanic ash, very rough on the feet. Not Northwest Florida beaches for sure, but still fun.

That hotel is a holiday in itself :)
