In 2014 we took a Scandinavia/Russia cruise onboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas. The Brilliance is a Radiance Class cruise ship. This is a nice size ship if you do not like the bigger or mega ships. The ship holds over 2,500 passengers plus the crew of about 860. It is 958 feet long, almost 131 feet wide and has 12 decks. This cruise we were in a stateroom on deck 10 in the middle of the ship. The middle of the ship usually has less sea movement in rough waters. Some say that a lower deck helps as well but I have not found that to be so. The Brilliance was launched in December 2001 and has gone through renovations and upgrades since. The top deck offers some fun outdoor entertainment, with the basketball court, mini golf, water slide and rock-climbing wall. There is also a walking/running track onboard. We love R.C., obviously.
