As Americans, we are used to gigantic hotel breakfasts, with a pancake or waffle maker, chaffing dishes full of bacon, sausage and eggs and oh so much more. When you travel in Europe, you find that your breakfast might not be as hearty as you are used to. Our hotel breakfast on this trip consisted of a few bread options, two meats, two cheese, canned fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs (which were described as at least a week old) and drinks. It was a pretty sad way to start our day. We are used to European breakfasts and know what our options are, but this one was definitely lacking some of the usual suspects. Our kids were hungry again by the time we hit the airport. Oh well, I guess for the price of the room it wasn't horrible.
