One thing I wasn’t expecting to see on my trip was the largest flower in the world. The flower grows throughout Malaysia, Indonesia and even some parts of southern Thailand. The flower is endangered as the flower is very fragile and human development has disturbed the environment in which it needs to grow. I took a bus from Kuching to Lundu to see the flower in the wild. The flower only blooms for about 5 days so call the park to ask wether any flowers are in bloom before you make the trip. At the park, you’ll need to pay for a guide to bring you to the flower.
