I'm finally back home from our 3 week cross country adventure, so it's time to start catching up my stories! After leaving the Lewis & Clark Fort Clatsop site in Astoria, Oregon we drove on down the coast to Lincoln City in a driving rain to our next overnight stop. I was hoping to find some IHG properties to use points, but they're few and far between along the Oregon-California coast, but there's an abundance of nice Best Western hotels to choose from. So we booked several through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal for the discounted points value, sometimes standing in the lobby on arrival. This was our first one, chosen for it's oceanfront rooms and good reviews. The room was nice and the rain didn't diminish overnight, so we decided to just stay put for another night and enjoy the beach views even though it was gray and dreary. I'd recommend this hotel for it's oceanfront location and the fact that it also had a nice kitchens in the suites, as well as good service and included breakfast. We were also traveling with our family dog, so Best Western's welcoming pet policy (even though there's a fee which averaged $25/night) was another factor in our decision to gravitate towards their properties.
