I know that Walt Disney World is famous for its 4 parks, but even though a lot of people stay at the Disney resorts, they can sometimes be overshadowed as a destination because most of their vacation time is spent in the parks! Disney's Boardwalk Hotel is a destination in itself. It is very clean, pristine, and full of the charm of an east coast 1920s boardwalk. In the evenings it's lit up with the lights and ambiance of a carnival. There are street performers, the smell of popcorn and the music of the 20s. The hotel rooms are very clean and large. We rented surrey bikes and rode around the lake and along the paths. There are so many beautiful flowers and lovely landscaping. You wouldn't even notice if you never set foot in the parks! It's a short walk to both Disney Studios and Epcot.
