Beach 1 on the Washington Coast

Clearwater, WA, United States
13 Kudos
"Beach 1" is not exactly a super creative name for this nice stretch of sand along the coast of Washington's Olympic National Park, but it does help to identify where to find it (just south of the aptly named Beach 2). The coastal section of the park is a rugged, rocky, scenic region with quite a few beaches, though they aren't of the exotic tropical type. A frequent feature, as in this case, is abundant driftwood washed ashore. In this case a walkway leads from a parking area well above the beach level, down through forested land to the shore itself.
