A little while back we went to Norfolk, Virginia for my oldest son's wedding. It was at the Marriott on the water front so we were able to walk to see a lot of the sights. We made our way down the water front to the Battleship Wisconsin which is docked next to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The ship is very impressive at 887' long and 108' wide. Her crew and she has served with heroism and honor since it's beginning, serving in WW II, the Korean War and the first Gulf War to mention a few. She has been awarded numerous awards which include 5 Battleship Stars during WW II and a Navy Unit Commendation award during the first Gulf War. Unfortunately we did not take the time to go for a self guided tour this trip as we were limited on time because of the approaching wedding. We wanted to explore as many places as we could in the time we had.
