Banff. A place that surely can't exist...until I saw it with my own eyes. The gateway to the Canadian Rockies was everything I had hoped for. The mountains around the valley are awe inspiring, and the food not far behind. The city main street is larger and offers more than one might think, and the Canadian dollar offers quite the discount for European and American travelers. There's no need to even rent a car in the winter. Nearly all points of interest can be seen via walking or bus. This winter wonderland is a must see for cold weather fans, and I can't wait to try summer next!
This place is updated, modern, and extremely affordable. Rooms are smaller than I anticipated, but Banff isn't a hotel destination. It's all about the outdoors. If you zoom in on the photo it is the brown building at the very end of the street.
