One of the fun things about visiting Nebraska -- with a friend/tour guide to show you around -- is that you never really know exactly in which city or county you're in. But still, much of the landscape is beautiful. All of these facts were true when my buddy and I, after a 15 mile drive, walked alongside a pristine (and loud!) brook in the middle of a meadow. The meadow was teeming with flowers which were blooming in recognition of the spring season. It was just a very peaceful day, and the fact that I had pretty much worked non-stop for the 10 or so days leading up that made things all the more peaceful.
