A lot of tourists to DC are forget or don’t realize that another important landmark / site is located only a short subway ride away. I am referring to The Arlington National Cemetery. Granted it is not a fun attraction, but something that needs to be visited to understand history of our country and specially people who died protecting it. You will see soldiers and veterans graves from various wars. Most of the tourists visit Kennedy’s grace and unknown soldier grave. If you have extra time I would recommend walking around to give respect to thousand of other known and unknown soldiers buried here.
