When I was driving south from Gran Teton National Park, I decided to spend a night in one of the campgrounds in Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area near the north eastern border of Utah. Before finding a campground, I drove around the rim to get some photos of the gorge. Along the south rim, I stopped in a small visitors center and asked about campground suggestions. The gentleman recommended the Canyon Rim Campground just a mile down the road, and advice was worth it. My campsite ended up being about 15 yards from the rim of the canyon with amazing views into the gorge.
