Often times, first class on a regional jet is only marginally better than the situation in coach. The planes are smaller, and there is just less space to go around no matter what you do. However, on the Embraer 175, the experience is just as comfortable or maybe even better than the typical mainline first class experience. The seat dimensions are the same as first on mainline aircraft, the seat was very plush and padded, and there was even a large and adjustable head rest. Leg room was also quite good. The thing that pushes the experience over the top is that the first class layout is 1-2, meaning there are some first class seats which offer both a window and an aisle with nobody sitting next to you. Pretty good.
