Adelaide is South Australia’s cosmopolitan coastal capital, often forgotten by tourists from other countries. Its ring of parkland on the River Torrens is home to renowned museums such as the Art Gallery of South Australia, displaying expansive collections including noted Indigenous art. The city's Adelaide Festival is an annual international arts gathering with spin-offs including fringe and film events. The city is very walkable and can easily be explored on foot. Even better is to rent a bicycle. You can ride along the streets very relaxed as traffic in general is very light. There are also some dedicated bicycle trails leading you as far as the ocean.
