The Almodovar Reservoir sits at the top of the hills that separate the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts of southern Spain. Here, smack between Gibraltar and Cadiz, the reservoir makes for an excellent late lunch stop on our travels across the wilderness. We were coming to our last two nights on the road when we reached the reservoir and we had made it ahead of schedule so far. This meant we could take our time at really interesting that looked interesting or any stop that we thought we might enjoy. The rush was over and we could just coast our last few days to our takeout point of Cadiz city.
