Our first stop in Namibia, entering from Botswana was the Africat foundation. Standing for "A Free Cat", the foundation was created to mitigate human-wildlife conflict, specially when it comes to big cats, in this case cheetahs and leopards.
The foundation educates many local children and farm owners in hope that these people start integrating the big cats in their lives, without seeing them as a threat. The foundation has a veterinary clinic to check on their animals in rehabilitation, as well as a lot of information on cheetahs and leopards.
We got to see a leopard feeding and the cheetahs in rehabilitation up close.
