Adventure at the Portland Head Lighthouse

Cape Elizabeth, ME, United States
3 Kudos
Last year during our road trip to the North East, we got the chance to visit the famous Portland Headlight. The Headlight is a lighthouse out on a rocky area on the coast of Maine.

While I thought it would be neat to see and make for some good pictures, I had no idea just how much fun we would have that day. We spent hours climbing up and over the rocks. Stacking the smooth rocks as high as we could. Climbing boulders for picturesque views. By the time we were done, we had been there for hours and were tired and hungry. Luckily, there was a truck selling Lobster Rolls!

What I thought would be a quick stop for pictures ended up being one of the best days of our trip. Don’t just pass by this landmark. Stop and enjoy the whole park!
