Every fan of Game of Thrones know the shooting spots all over the world. While in Iceland we got the chance to visit several of the iconic shooting spots for the legendary HBO TV series. While searching for possible places to visit we came across to this little wonderland called Gjain valley just a few kilometers away from the historic Viking village of Þjóðveldisbærinn Stöng, Finding the valley was little difficult but we have prepared well after reading several TripAdvisor and other blog posts. It is really amazing to imagine how people used to plan trips pre-internet and pre-blogging days. The valley is a true wonderland with a countless number of waterfalls in a lush green surrounding and the famous cave from the GoT. It takes a couple of hundreds of stairs to get down to the valley which is kind of hidden in the plain sight. But once you are there, you can easily spend a few hours exploring the streams and waterfalls.
