A lovely glass of port

Batalha, Leiria District, Portugal
20 Kudos
So we were at a restaurant in Batalha, Portugal and started to talk to the owner and the chef - they made their rounds ensuring that everyone was enjoying their food, much to our surprise. After talking a while, he said that he once lived in New Jersey and we told him that we were originally from New York. He thought that this was so cool and decided that it made him happy enough to gives us a free bottle of port wine to go with our meals! The port was a nice tawny and it was really delicious! It paired well with our food and not having to pay for it made it taste even better. We were happy to leave a generous tip for their kindness and generosity.
