It's not often you can stay in a hotel which is in and of itself a major sightseeing attraction . The Château Frontenac is exactly one of those. Situated on one of the highest hills in Vieux Québec, it looks over the rest of the city with its grandeur and imposing facade. The actual hotel experience was certainly lovely, though perhaps not as regal as I would have expected for the price tag. The rooms are nice and a bit larger than at other hotels. There is a nice pool and gym on the 6th floor. There are also other businesses on site, including a spa and multiple restaurants but since these all cost extra, I don't consider them amenities per se. In fact, given how expensive the restaurants are here, I would recommend you eat elsewhere in the city as you can save money and experience more of Québec at the same time. Overall, if you're going to be in Québec City for just a short time and want a unique experience, I would recommend staying here just to say that you have. But if you willl be in Québec for a while, consider somewhere else, since there are other hotels which are a better value.
