A great gorge

Bavaria, BY, Germany
24 Kudos
We had been to the Bavarian part of Germany before, but the last time that we were there, the Partenkirchen Gorge was closed down due to safety reasons. The gorge was open this time, so we made sure to head over to check it out. We parked right by the old Olympic stadium and walked to the gorge, which was around 30 or 40 minutes with a sluggish 4 year old in tow. The gorge has a small fee to enter and it is definitely worth it! The crystal blue water rushing by and the caves that you walk through were so cool and we had a ton of fun. It was pretty cold there, with an obvious change in temp around the gorge, so be prepared and bring a jacket, even in the summer.

A well-known area in Bavaria. The home of the zugspitze, the partenkirchen gorge and a ton of other great stuff!
