A Natural Wonder: Halona Blowhole

Honolulu, HI, United States
7 Kudos
You can make a quick stop at the Halona Blowhole Lookout to see one of the island’s natural wonders! We stopped here and saw the Blowhole spray water and to hang out at the beach. The Blowhole can spray water up to 30 feet in the air!

Like I said this is a quick stop, so I would recommend climbing down to the Halona beach located right next to it!

After a couple of hours at this beach, we decided to check out other attractions nearby. The Hanauma Bay isn’t too far from here also!

Story Details

Aqua Waikiki Wave
Loved my stay here. Rooms were clean, spacious, and updated! Well furnished and offers city and partial ocean views.
Waikiki Gateway Hotel
Located at the beginning of the strip, so it is further to the beach. Decent and budget friendly!

Points of interest

The city center is always busy and traffic can be bad. But there are really good food places around here to try before heading to the beaches!
Hanauma Bay
This is close to the Blowhole and it's a perfect spot to go snorkeling!
Hālona Cove
Hālona Cove
There's a small beach you can enjoy. Rocky steps down to the beach so be careful.

Cool there is one like this in Kauai too, called Spouting Horn. It's by Poipu beach.
