A Lighthouse and History

Crow Head, NL, Canada
17 Kudos
A short drive from Seaglass Cottage where we were staying in Twillingate was the Long Point Lighthouse. We decided to take a tour and upon entering the lighthouse was surprised the museum was actually the history of the Titanic. There was about 60+ displays of information, pictures, accounts of that fateful journey, starting with the ship builders. As you may remember the Titantic sunk off the coast of Newfoundland. Make sure you allow plenty of time to spend here as there is a lot of information to read through and absorb. Outside there are nice trails and views to enjoy as well as a little tourist shop that sells fresh made fudge and a hot cup of coffee which you just may need in June!

Who can resist fresh fudge? There is a nice gift shop located across the parking lot from the lighthouse which was a nice store to visit and get some fudge!
