After a long day of touring, visiting castles, caves, and driving up the mountains to a tiny country (Andorra), I decided I deserved a nice meal. After walking around Foix after dark for a while, I decided upon the Hotel Lons and its restaurant. It's right along the River Ariege, and the dining room is fully windows overlooking the river. The dinner started with a visit to their really nice salad bar (think more little salads rather than just raw vegetables). It was accompanied by their delicious fresh bread. My main course was a delicious local river trout. For dessert I had a sweet plate of 3 profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate. A great end to a great day.
