How to Link your Travel Community Profile to your Barclaycard Arrival™ Account

Community Manager

If you are a Barclaycard Arrival cardmember, in order for your Participation Miles to transfer to your account, your Travel Community profile needs to be linked with your Barclaycard Arrival account. This can be achieved in one of two ways:

If you have not already registered in the Barclaycard Travel community, you can register and link your account in ONE step by:

  1. Login to your Barclaycard Arrival account at BarclaycardUS.com, click on the banner (shown below) in the Account Summary home page. (It is all the way at the bottom of this page on the lower right.)Servicing screen grab of Travel Community banner.JPG
(Or view the Servicing link options and select – Travel Community.)

Click either link and you will be taken to the form in Step 2.
  2. Fill out your desired Community username, community password, email address, etc. and click submit.

To confirm your accounts are linked, your Barclaycard Arrival Account Travel Community  setting will appear like this:

And your Travel Community Profile setting will appear as this:

To start earning Participation Miles in the Barclaycard Travel community, log in at BarclaycardTravel.com and enter your community username and community password and fill out your Travel Profile to earn 500 Miles and/or begin posting stories.

If you registered FIRST in the Barclaycard Travel community, in order for your Participation Miles to transfer to your Barclaycard Arrival account, you will need to log in to your Barclaycard Arrival account at BarclaycardUS.com. In your Barclaycard Arrival Account Settings, you can quickly link your Travel Community profile by clicking the “Link your account now.” (See image sample below)

You will then see a web page where you will enter your Community username and password. Please note that this username and password are case sensitive and must match how you registered on the Barclaycard Travel Community site. (Note: If you receive an “Error ‘username’ already taken,” please double check in your Travel Community settings that you are not already linked.)

Can't wait to share my travel tidbits with the Barclay Community.

So expected to join the travel community

It won't link my accounts. I sign in to my MC page, go to the Travel Community page, enter my community user name and email... it says "The community user name you've entered has already been taken..." No kidding! It's taken by ME! What's up with this?

How long do miles take to appear? I filled out my profile and logged a story today

@getmethere Please let me know if you are continuing to have issues linking your accounts.

@alacomb Participation Miles are calculated and updated daily for the previous day's activity. So your miles should post tomorrow afternoon. Here is a link to our three blog posts on Participation Miles. Thank you for your question!

I am having the same problem as getmethere, it won't link my account because it says my user name has been taken :(
Community Manager
@mesprunger and @getmethere If you are receiving an “Error ‘username’ already taken,” please double check in your Travel Community settings that you are not already linked. See the above screen grabs for additional details. Also, be sure to tab out of the display name field (where you might be seeing the error) into the next text field. The error may disappear after it validates your characters. Let me know if you continue to have issues.

I am having the same issue where my accounts won't link.

Hi @jadvargas Can you supply details regarding the error you are seeing? Feel free to reply back on this blog or email us at BarclaycardTravel@BarclaycardUS.com and we can investigate. Thank you!

When I click the link your Travel Community Profile link it takes me to my arrival credit card account, I input my username and it says already taken? I know it is taken... I took it! It's my username?
Community Manager
Hi @jadvargas, Let me look into your specific issue, stay tuned for an update. Thank you for your patience.

When I am logged into travel community and I click the link to link my card, it takes me to my credit card page, I input my user name and it gives me the error username already taken. I know it is taken, I took it, it's my username!

I thought I had already linked them but I don't see my points showing up in my arrival account

When I try to link my accounts, it tells me "The information you entered did not match our records. "
(after I enter my travelcomm. username and email.
That is, of course, on the Barclaycardus credit card side. I recently received and activated my arrival+ card and signed up for the travel comm. under a week ago and posted a couple stories. Do I need to wait some time before trying to link the accounts?
Stately Explorer
Nevermind, it finally worked for me. It just seemed to only work after a couple weeks.

are participation miles same as regular miles and can be redemeed for the same amount ? say 2500 participant miles for 25$ worth of travelling etc?
Stately Explorer
I have about 15,000 participation miles according to my travel account but on my arrival account only a fraction of the miles is showing up. Why is that?
Community Manager
@tatidanidean: The miles shown on your travel account are your lifetime miles earned in the community. Each month, only activity from that month is transferred.
Stately Explorer
@Kati_D, so at the end of the month why are my points not reflected? I earned about 12,000 miles last month?
Community Manager
Hi @tatidanidean: Ah, wasn't clear on what info you were looking for. The miles file for this month has been delayed. We will post an update once it has completed.
Stately Explorer
@Kati_D Is there a phone number that I can call to discuss this matter? I am not sure you are understanding what I am saying.
Community Manager
@tatidanidean It sounds to me like you are looking for your Miles for the month of May. The May miles file, which runs at the beginning of June, has been delayed in processing (so you would not see your Miles until this file completes). Do I have that correct? You are welcome to email us at BarclaycardTravel@barclaycardus.com to discuss in greater detail.
Stately Explorer
Okay @Kati_D I will wait until the end of the month to see if it is missing because of the delay. Thank you.

Thank you for this information.  I found it very helpful as I am just beginning .  It helped me to understand the difference between seeing accumulated points daily in the community and how they are posted to the lifetime points tied to the card.
