We've logged hundereds of miles hiking all types of terrains and this past March we deemed Kaui's Napali Coast Kalalau trail to Hanakapi'ai Falls hands down the best hike we've ever done. The meer 8 miles of scaling of bolders, trekking through jungle, crossing numerous un-trailed streams (sometimes rivers depending on the rainfall), and ending at the base of a 300 foot waterfall that we dared to dip in made for the most memorable and rewarding natural adventure we've ever had! This photo was taken just off the trail before entering the jungle to trek the mountain. The Napali coastline is absolutelybreathtaking. No photo can do it justice. The landscape is so prehistoric - Jurassic Park's use of the coast for the movie doesn't even hold a candle to it's baeuty. A buck-list must for all!
