My husband and I traveled from Argentina to Antarctica in February 2017. It was the trip of a lifetime, and my husband's last continent (my 7th). We traveled from Ushuaia to Antarctica on a beautiful Ponant cruise ship. Once we reached the continent, we had daily trips on shore to learn about the wildlife. It was truly amazing and beautiful and I recommend it to any adventurous souls!
do you get to hang out with them , i.e. get out of that small boat?
do you get to touch them - penguins , seals? i bet not....
@harryz, yes we used those small boats to get from the large boat to the land. We were not allowed to touch the animals, but we got extremely close to them, and they (especially the penguins) did not seem to care if we were there or not. The seals made more noises when we were there, so clearly noticed us! It was amazing.
