This summer, we were moving from Boston, MA to Ann Arbor, MI - and we took the long way. What would've been an 800 mile trip if we'd driven directly ended up being much longer - 10 times longer, to be exact. With a month-long gap between the end of our lease in Boston and the start of our new lease in Ann Arbor, we decided to take a road trip around the northern US and into Canada. It was the trip of a lifetime. We crossed the Eastern half of the country quickly and then started taking our time when we hit South Dakota, beginning with this sunset in Badlands National Park. It set the stage for our trip perfectly: it was just over a month of seeing all of the beauty America has to offer. From the barren, striking Badlands to the lush, wildflower-covered peaks of Glacier National Park, this summer was a dream come true.
