Climbing Baby Bath Falls

We spent a week in Ouray, CO this past summer.  Summer in the Rockies makes for the perfect getaway for active people in need of a break from the heat and humidity of the Midwest.  The quaint mountain towns are full of wonderful restaurants, breweries and shops to enjoy after long days of hiking through the miles and miles of scenic trails.  Our favorite hike was the one we decided to take off of the trail.  Baby Bath Falls are located just outside of the town of Ouray.  A hiking trail will take you beside and above the crevasse created over time by the gentle falls.  Although it’s a beautiful view from the trail above, we found it even more spectacular with our feet in the running water looking back up.  We climbed about a mile of falls stopping often to play in the pools cut into the boulders by the rushing waters.  We look forward to returning one day for another Rocky Mountain adventure.  Baby Bath Falls.jpgClimbing Baby Bath Falls
