Philadelphia is one of the most underrated great cities in America. As America's first capital it is full of history, museums, amazing architecture, parks, and delicious restaurants.

My family and I recently spent a day in center city and really enjoyed ourselves. We went to the famous Love Park. We gorged ourselves in Reading Terminal Market. We went to the Mutter Museum and walked around City Hall.

It was a nice weather day so we were able to take the train in and walk the city. There is something so nice about a walkable city. You really get a feel for the beauty of the place and an appreciation of the neighborhoods.

I would recommend anyone spend at least a day in this great American city!

Details
Transportation
30th Street Station
The main Amtrak station in Philadelphia. Drops you off right in center city.
Philadelphia Parking Authority
If you did not take the train in, beware. There is a reason they chose them first for the TV show Parking Wars.
Culture and experiences
Drexel University
A fine institution where I went to school. Check out if they have any galleries or exhibits.
Chinatown
A fun place to find dinner or even just to walk through.
Entertainment
Mutter Museum
Kind of a crazy medical oddity museum. Strange but interesting.
Points of interest
Reading Terminal Market
Best place to shop and eat in the city in my opinion. Don't miss D'Nics.
Love Park
Pretty place to hang out on a nice day. Always something happening there.
Philadelphia City Hall
Beautiful building and area to visit. Lots of artwork around.
Restaurants
Morimoto
Signature restaurant with great Japanese food from the Iron Chef himself.
Village Whiskey
Great restaurant by famed chef Jose Andres. Try the amazing fries.
