San Diego is a great place to go with a lot of things to do. My husband was there for business and we had a great few days before he started his conference and we also had a great time while he was working. We stayed by the airport and it was pretty central to everything. We explored the area in La Jolla, Downtown, Mission Valley, and much more. Sea World, Seaport Village and the San Diego Zoo and the USS Midway were fun to see as well. We have a 14 yer old and a 12 year old. Fun Times had by all.

Culture and experiences
USS Midway Museum
This was a fun experience for my daughters to do. There was a lot to see along with my dad being on a Navy ship in the military it was nice for them to see a little of that connection with his job.
Entertainment
Mission Beach Boardwalk
We went to the roller coaster area to ride the roller coaster. The activities here are higher priced so plan to spend a lot.
Hotels
Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina
Great hotel. Great location and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and nice. Great views and food at restaurants were good. Bar made great drinks.
Points of interest
La Jolla Cove
Fun area however plan to go early before it gets busy! The cave is a neat place to see. You have to go into the little store to get down there.
San Diego Zoo
This zoo takes a while to get through. It is huge! Lots of things to see and there are some hands on things too for kids.
SeaWorld
We had a great time at SeaWorld. Lots of animals to see. We went up on the tower that spins around as well. It was a great view of San Diego.
Soledad Mountain
Great look out spot to see San Diego. Love this spot. So pretty during the day and at night with everything lit up.
Special activities
Seaport Village Station
Fun place to go right on the water. I love looking in all the shops they have through out the village. They have entertainment down by the water area along with a few good restaurants to eat at with nice views.
