Polynesian and O'Hana
When we decided to splurge and stay at the Polynesian resort at Disney World, we felt like we were transported to another tropical country! It really does have an "another world" vibe to it. I can't say enough about the service and the staff at the hotel....
When we decided to splurge and stay at the Polynesian resort at Disney World, we felt like we were transported to another tropical country! It really does have an "another world" vibe to it. I can't say enough about the service and the staff at the hotel. Top notch. The pool is one of the best at WDW. The waterfall and the water slide are the top attractions there. Kids love this pool!
Another great benefit of the Polynesian is that you're one stop away from the Magic Kingdom via the monorail.
We had dinner at O'Hana restaurant for their "all you care to eat" buffet. The food is served family style and the servers bring huge skewers of chicken, pork, shrimp and steak cooked over the open flame. The food is so delicious! This is one of our favorite restaurants. The grilled chicken and potstickers were my favorite but you can't overlook the bread pudding with the caramel sauce and ice cream. It makes me hungry just thinking about it! It is very expensive to eat here and difficult to get reservations.
The other restaurants are very good too such as Kona. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Culture and experiences
Cirque du Soleil® La Nouba™
Words can't describe this acrobatic show. The entire theater is built especially to house the show. Very expensive but worth it.
Entertainment
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf
This is a very nice putt putt golf themed as Christmas. Kids love it.
Hotels
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
This is a beautiful resort with an amazing pool area and great transportation options to the parks.
Points of interest
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Visiting Hollywood studios is a great place to spend the day. Lots of great rides and shows. My favorite is the Beauty and the Beast broadway style show.
Restaurants
Kona Cafe
We love the sushi here and it has good breakfast too. Convenient if you're staying at the Polynesian.
It's A Wonderful Shop
I always go in this shop to get Christmas ornament souvenirs. All Disney ornaments and Christmas decor.
'Ohana
Excellent restaurant in the Polynesian. It overlooks the pool and lake area. Very expensive. Excellent food.
Capt. Cook's
Nice and convenient quick service place where you can get nachos or sandwiches.
Shopping
Mouse Gear
this shop in Epcot is huge and has a little bit of everything...clothes, decor, trinkets...you name it, they have it
Disney Springs
Huge shopping, restaurant and entertainment district on Disney property. Great stores like Lego and World of Disney.
Tatooine Traders
If you're a star wars fan this is such a fun shop. They have a "make your own light saber" section.
