You will never get as good of an exchange rate as you will just using an ATM at the airport when you arrive. You may be charged by your bank (the highest transaction fee we have paid is $3 total), but it is way better than exchanging in the states prior to leaving and definitely better than an exchange kiosk. And always make sure to notify your bank of where you are going and for how long so your card works when you get there. Do not assume that most places in Europe take credit cards, because a lot don't.
