The current rules state:
Travel Redemptions are defined as: Airlines, Travel Agencies & Tour Operators, Hotels, Motels & Resorts, Cruise Lines, Passenger Railways, Car Rental Agencies and your Barclaycard Arrival Annual Fee (if applicable)
Does anyone know if home rentals through services like AirBnB or VRBO count as hotels?
I would like to know that as well. We use VRBO quite often, especially when we travel with large groups of family and/or friends.
Hi @dadamn Thanks for asking this popular question. Let us check internally about how these items would be categorized. We will have details shortly. Our apologies for not replying back sooner!
AirBnB is typically billed under Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and would earn double miles, however VRBO does not qualify at this time.
Any updates on this? I have the arrival plus - can I redeem rewards for airbnb.com still? What about for homeaway.com (the payment system used by VRBO)???
